SWIM -
The MWF swim group has returned to it normal size. Vacations are over, TEACHERS ARE GOING BACK TO WORK (welcome back everyone) and kids are going back to school. It is very lively and fun in the pool as usual.

Don't be afraid to join us. There is a lane for any level of swimming experience.

Swimmers - you will really like this video of an amazing swimmer and bubble rings.

BIKE -

Saturday’s ride will be the Union Loop, taking us to Paso Robles via Rocky Canyon, Camp 8, Geneseo and Union Roads. Here are the details:

Meet at 8 a.m. at K-Man Cycle and Run in Atascadero. Go south on El Camino Real, turn left at Viejo Camino, then left again at Halcon Road, and another left on Rocky Canyon. Then it will be a right turn at Creston-Eureka Road. From there we turn right on Highway 41, then left on Homestead. Turn right on South El Pomar, up the Chicago Grade to Pomar Junction, where we’ll turn right on El Pomar. At Cripple Creek, we will turn left, then turn right at Creston Road. Next is a left turn onto Highway 41, followed by, after a few miles, a left turn on Camp 8. When Camp 8 intersects with Creston Road, it will be a right turn, followed by another right turn onto Geneseo. We will then follow Geneseo for a few miles, and bear right where it branches off from Linne. We will stay on Geneseo through the climb, all the way to its intersection with Union, where we will turn left. We will then follow Union through the intersection with Golden Hill Road, and remain on Union as it winds its way through eastern Paso Robles until it comes out at 13th Street, where we will bear right and cross the 13th Street Bridge. We will take a break for refreshments at the Amsterdam coffee shop on 13th between Park and Spring.

On the return trip, we can make our individual choices to return via Adelaida, Peachy Canyon, South Vine or South River Roads, depending on how far you want to go.

RUN -

The Big Sur (Monterey) half marathon is soming up in November (14th to be exact). Would anyone, training for this event, like to meet for "track/pacing" workouts some time? A week night? A weekend day? Please let me know and we can set this up....runninrobyn@gmail.com

Join the K-Fun - Shaver Lake Triathlon is Sunday, September 19th, This will be a fun event for Team members participating in either the Triathlon, the K-Cheer Squad, or simply the Mountain relaxation. There is a traditional Olympic Course and a Sprint Course. The event is in a beautiful venue. There is a sign up page on Active.com but the event website is a bad link as of this writing. If you are planning on participating in this fun weekend let mglenesk@charter.net know because we are working on some VERY reasonable accommodations for Saturday and Sunday night.
