A Thank You Letter -" Keith and Robyn, thank you very much for a fantastic evening of celebration. We all appreciate the time and effort that went into opening up your beautiful home to all of us. Keith prepared a fantastic dinner* for all of us and Robyn and Keith added all the touches that make this celebration of a healthy lifestyle just perfect. Samantha and Kameron were also as helpful and cheerful as can be. From all of us a heartfelt Thank you.!!"

(*in the past this meal was catered and our budget made it impossible this year, but true to form Keith provided us ALL perfectly Katered Kuisine)

Challenge Board Questions Answered

1. --->How do I sign up for the 2009 Challenge? The 2009 Challenge Board is on the website. If you are a member and not on the 2009 Challenge Board and you would like to be just email mglenesk@charter.net and state what section(s) you want your name: Swim, Bike, Run, Kinetic, Team Events Challenge.

2.--->How do I record my miles/hours/events information on the challenge board? At the end of each month the Challenge Koordinator will email you a "Time to Report" reminder. Reply to that email by the 5th of each month.

3.--->What is the new Kinetic Challenge? See the Q&A below.

4.--->The 5 or Better is now the "Event Challenge". In this challenge you record the event you do while wearing Team K gear. Gold - 15 events, Silver-10 events, Bronze 5 events. Send the event name and a picture if possible.

5.--->How do I Join or Renew my Team K Membership?-->There is a payment button in the sidebar. You can use a credit card with PayPal. Follow the directions. It is easy and quick. - Thank you for supporting Team Kman and its mission of providing an environment for people who share a common interest in developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Q & A regarding the new Kinetic Challenge:
The Kinetic Challenge is a place to record Fitness Hours for the year. It is in program development so your questions and participation becomes part of its progression.

Q-->Can a team member sign up for the kinetic challenge, AND the swim/bike/run?
A-->Hours and/or Miles/meters can't count for both swim/bike/run and Kinetic Challenge

Q-->Does a yoga class count, or does it need to be aerobic activity?
A-->A Yoga class would count as a Kinetic or also known as a Fitness Hour

Q-->I've been walking instead of running, since there isn't a "walk" category, am I required to log my time now rather than miles?
A-->Fitness walking can count for either Challenge the Kinetic or Run.

Q-->Suppose I train for walking a half-marathon...Does walking count for the kinetic challenge or the running challenge or not at all?
A-->Fitness walking can count for either Challenge the kinetic or running.

Q-->Does the kinetic challenge have a definition? Does it consider classes at Kennedy, or is it cardio only?
A-->Fitness hours. So, Yes, Kennedy classes, Fitness walking, and cardio

Q-->Does my downhill skiing time count?
A-->Yes, but read on. Skiing is a fantastic fitness pursuit. Think about the hours that are you are aerobic and how much are fitness hours. Perhaps a rule of thumb: 33% of my skiing day. But, it is whatever you wish to record.

Q-->What about cross-county skiing?
A-->Yes, 100% of that time.
