-->Jeff Weit has two spin bikes for sale on craigslist.
-->Seth Gilbertson rode in a Road Race - "Participated in the "poor kids" cycling race out on Foxen Canyon just off the 154. I raced Cat 5......3 groups of 50. I started out mid pack rolling wheel to wheel with the group... very tight.......out and back race. As we started up the only real climb, everyone attacked. .......... they all attacked hard and rode the climb fast! .......I got dropped a bit but stayed with it and pushed hard alone for the rest of the race. I was able to run down a bunch of stragglers and keep a solid pace even though I never got a chance to sit in the draft. Next time, I will make sure I stay with the group cause once they're gone, they're gone!"
Jeff Ballinger in NYC writes: "Anybody ever seen this kind of break before(link)? If you've got any insights, please add your comments on the blog. --- Cheers, Jeff"
Christie Dubach reports: "On Lance's BD he and Christie...... had coffee...... with (team members) from team Columbia Highroad pro women cyclists. They were a gas, so much fun to talk with.......That just made his B-day. They said we can expect to see some Team Highroad riders in the area over the next week..... Christie"

Ride: Sunday, 02/08/90 - News Flash - Since we were rained out Saturday, let's try it again tomorrow, SUNday!! We can hope the day lives up to it's name. Meet at Kman at 8 am and we can finalize the route...either ride as planned, down to Cayucos and into San Luis or (if the weather or road conditions look unfavorable) stay up here on the plateau and ride out to Pozo or such. Kudos go to Mark G. and Paul A. who rode Saturday despite the stormy conditions.
•Last Saturday’s Ride: Wow! The sunshine and Kman "Beginning of the Year" spirit brought out over 15 riders to enjoy the day, some from as far as Cambria and San Luis. The ebb and flow of congeniality washed over the roads from Templeton to Vineyard to Willow, up Adelaida into Paso to Cider Creek as riders were shedding layers at every regrouping. After coffee and eats on comfortable couches a few riders headed home on River while the rest headed out Linne/Geneseo to Creston Road. The group re-shaped a second time with some riders heading back to Kman’s and SEVEN riders (our largest group ever to ride so far on a Saturday) heading out Creston to Camp 8 to 41 and Burritos/Philly Steak sandwiches in Shandon. The headwinds on the way out earned us the tail winds on the way back down Shell Creek, La Panza and Cripple Creek. 105ish miles. Kman challenge riders are well on their way to breaking the record set last year of riding over 146,000 miles!

-->Last Sunday Run...was a gorgeous day as we ran AND biked 4-11 miles along some country roads west of Atascadero. We'll have to think of something other than fake flowers to mark our water stops...drivers are asking me who got hurt!
