•May 29th Next Team Social - is May 29th - Mark Kowall is going to talk to our group on Saturday,  May 29th about joint deterioration, arthritis, aging gracefully as an athlete, etc. and his path to the Ironman. Potluck as follows:
A - F -  Main Dish
G - M - Side dish
N - R - Salad
S - Z - Dessert
Please bring a dish enough to serve 10 people.  Bring your own favorite beverage to drink.

Friend of Team Kman, Kelly Clark's, art opening is this Friday, May 21st from 5-8pm, as part of Bike Month. The Artery on Traffic Way will be showing Kelly's paintings of local roads we ride.  I hope you can make it!!

Another date to save July 8th(or close to this date) the Schmidt house/yard will become the Concert House/yard!  Set this date aside for a fund raising concert to be held at K-Man's. More details to follow.

Team Member, Robyn Schmidt, says, "July 10th is not really a Team K-Man event but a Schmidt, Samantha, will be putting on "The Wizard of Oz" on the K-Man outside stage as a fundraiser for cancer patients.  Dinner and performance, dessert and raffle will be provided.  Tickets for all of this will be only around $11 for adults.  Again...more details to follow."

Bike - May 22, 2010 - Saturday’s Team K-Man bike ride will be the Union Loop, taking us to Paso Robles via Geneseo and Union Roads, then returning by the route of your choice. Here are the details:
Meet at 8 a.m. in the parking lot of K-Man Cycle and Run in Atascadero. Ride south on El Camino Real, turn left on Viejo Camino to Halcon. Turn left and then left again on Rocky Canyon Road. Turn right on Highway 41, then turn left on Homestead, and turn right on South El Pomar, up the Chicago Grade to Pomar Junction, where we’ll turn right on El Pomar. At Cripple Creek, we will turn left. Next is a right turn on Creston Road, followed by a left turn onto Geneseo. We will then follow Geneseo for a few miles, and bear right where it branches off from Linne. We will stay on Geneseo through the climb, all the way to its intersection with Union, where we will turn left. We will then follow Union through the intersection with Golden Hill Road, and remain on Union as it winds its way through eastern Paso Robles until it comes out at 13th Street, where we will bear right and cross the 13th Street Bridge. We will take a break for refreshments at the Amsterdam coffee shop on 13th between Park and Spring.

From Amsterdam’s in Paso Robles we can choose for ourselves how to get back to Atascadero. The options include Adelaida, Peachy Canyon, River Road and Vine Street, depending on how long a ride each of us wants to do.

Sunday June 6 - Hosted run on the West side of Cuesta Grade; out and back or possibly one way.

ALL-COMERS TRACK MEETS - Starting Wednesday June 30 the All-Comers Track Meets will start up and run for 5 consecutive Wednesdays.  Many of you have volunteered (Mike and Florence Aiello are our star volunteers) and we are hoping you will once again.  Please contact Keith or Robyn Schmidt regarding volunteering.  You can be in charge of a specific event (training provided) or just come a few Wednesdays and help wherever we need you.  We will provide you with a shirt and snacks.  The meets go from about 6 pm to 9 pm.  the youth at these meets is awesome.  Come volunteer, watch and participate!
