Board Meeting:
In February we had a Board Meeting. Here are the notes.

In attendance: Keith Schmidt(K-Man, Leader), Mike Bickel(treasurer), Doug Conner(Challenge Board), Nancy Prier(Board Member, BM), Mike Zappas(BM), Mike Aiello(BM), Louise Comar(BM), Len Colamarino(BM), Mark Glenesk(Secretary)

Review of Member Ideas:
The committee reviewed the ideas that the tables wrote down at the January Banquet. They enjoyed reading and pondering every comment. They decided to enact some ideas and Nancy Prier is cataloging them.

Louise will continue to offer Tandem Bike Special Rides.
We discussed the possibility group list to enable those that want to initiate a new event and or want to communicate with each other via a “group list”. This will be explored.
Many ideas were good and every member is encouraged to take on the possibility and announcing an activity by way of becoming the “idea leader” and post their idea on the group. This is how some of our best events have started.

Budget - the Banquet and awards cost $1900. Our current balance is $5000. Much is that is earmarked for this year’s Challenge Awards.

Tour of Paso – The Team Board decided to promote this as Team Ride.  Board Member Mike Zappas is going to propose a partnership with the various cycling groups.

===========From Mike Zappas (paraphrased) ====================
We need a team for the Tour of Paso, please join us.

If you are up for it, go directly to tourofpaso.com and click registration packet.  When it comes to team enter "tttzook" (Team Tuesday Thursday, Zoo Group and Team K man).

If you are on the fence consider these four points;

1.  You or a loved one can be diagnosed any day.  Doctors are doing their best for your medical needs, but there are many more areas that require support.  The Cancer Support Community provides all services free of charge and in a wonderful adobe center in Paso.  As they say, "No one should have to face this alone".

2.  The Cancer Support Community is part of a nationwide network of support centers.

3.  The date is March 22 at 9 at Niner Winery,  there are three lengths of ride, 4 miles, 26 miles, and 50 miles.   The lunch is great, the band is great, you will love it.

4.  Many people have said that it is too expensive.  If you enter before March 15 the fee to enter is only $50. This is tax deductible.  There is also a fundraising goal.  I am here to help you on that front.  For the first 15 people that sign up for team tttzook, I will be your fundraising angel.  I will support your effort.  All you will have to pay is the entry fee.

Many of us lost a close friend, Gaylen Little, this past year, do it in his memory.  Show the community that we care.

Thank you,
Mike Zappas
