SWIM -
See you Wednesday 6am - Don't miss Wednesday's workout celebrating Ellen Rockholm's trip to the World Masters Swimming Championships in Sweden. Ellen will be leaving Friday morning for her Scandinavian Adventure. The web site is www.2010finamasters.org.
She's ranked in the top 5 in her age group in the world!

GO ELLEN! YOU ROCK!!

BIKE - Saturday we will do the Cypress Mountain-Klau Mine Loop, descending via Adelaida Road into Paso Robles for refreshments. From there, one can return to Atascadero on one of the more direct routes, with longer options by way of Linne and Geneseo Roads or Creston and Highway 229. Here are the details:

We will meet at 8 a.m. at K-Man Cycle & Run in Atascadero. We will head east on Amapoa, turn right at Curbaril, proceed through the intersection at El Camino Real and turn left on Santa Ysabel. Then we will turn right on Highway 41 and left on Templeton. We then stay on Templeton Road all the way, turning leftat the intersection with El Pomar, when its name changes to Vineyard. We will then follow Vineyard through Templeton, past Main Street, over the Freeway and then through the intersection with Highway 46. When we get to Willow Creek Road we will turn right and follow Willow Creek up to where it ends at Peachy Canyon Road, where we will turn left. Where Peachy Canyon meets Vineyard, we will turn right. Then when Vineyard ends atAdelaida Road, we turn left. We will proceed west on Adelaida until it ends on Chimney Rock Road, where turn left. At the bottom of the descent on Chimney Rock, after Justin Winery, we turn left onto Cypress Mountain Road, which we will follow along Las Tablas Creek until it joins Klau Mine Road, where we will bear left. At the T-intersection of Klau Mine and Adelaida Road, we turn right. After the climb and descent on Adelaida bring us out at Lake Nacimiento Road (24th Street), we turn right and descend into Paso Robles, where we turn rightagain onto Vine Street. We will turn left at 13th Street and go to Amsterdam’s, between Spring and Park Streets, for refreshments. After leaving Amsterdam’s we return to Atascadero by the route of our choice—River Road, Pine Street or, for a longer ride, Linne-Geneseo.

RUN - Next hosted run will be Sunday, August 1. Meet at the Schmidt house at 8:30 am. Water and gels provided on course. Yummy goodies to eat after. Come run, walk or ride...adults and kids! Samantha is now a certified babysitter and would love to earn money watching your kids (human or furry).
