Team K-Man News July 22, 2010

SWIM -
What a great group!

*If you are afraid to join this group you don't know what you are missing. There is a place for everyone. They even let me, Robyn the runner, swim. All are welcome and a fun & hard (or easy if that's your preference) workout is the goal. With camaraderie and mutual support, it is all great!

*Najore is back in the pool.

BIKE - To be announced...On Saturday, July 24, the Team K-Man ride will go to San Miguel via Chimney Rock and San Marcos Roads. In San Miguel, we will take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the world’s best burritos before heading back to Atascadero by way of River Road, or another return route of our choice. Here are the details:

We will meet at 8:00 a.m. at K-Man Cycle and Run in Atascadero. We will head north on El Camino Real, turn right at Curbaril, proceed through the intersection at El Camino Real and turn left on Santa Ysabel. Then we will turn right on Highway 41 and left on Templeton. We then stay on Templeton Road all the way, turning left at the intersection with El Pomar, when its name changes to Vineyard. We will then follow Vineyard through Templeton, past Main Street, over the Freeway and then through the intersection with Highway 46. When we get to Willow Creek Road we will turn right and follow Willow Creek up to where it ends at Peachy Canyon Road, where we will turn left. Where Peachy Canyon meets Vineyard, we will turn right. Then when Vineyard ends at Adelaida Road, we turn left. We will proceed west on Adelaida until it ends on Chimney Rock Road, where we turn right. At the bottom of the descent on Chimney Rock, we turn right on Lake Nacimiento Road. Then we turn left onto San Marcos Road, which we will follow northeast to Highway 101. After carefully crossing the four lanes of the Freeway, we will go north on 101 for a mile or so to the San Miguel exit. There we will get to savor the world’s best burritos at the little Mexican restaurant and bakery next to the Tenth Street CafĂ©.

We can then return to Atascadero by the route of our choice.

RUN - Next hosted run will be August 1. Details to come later.

Wednesday night track meets continue. Thank you to those who are volunteering. We will still take more volunteers. Be at the AHS track at 5:30 pm. Thanks!
