Team News - The Atascadero City Council approved a Bike Plan at its 11/23 meeting. Team Member Len Colamarino played a huge part in its fruition. Team Kman also Kongratulates Team Member Ellen Beraud on her productive and positive years on the Atascadero City Council. Thanks to members like Len and Ellen, Atascadero is now eligible for federal and state grants which will make cycling easier and more accessible for everyone in North County.

Team "End of Year Celebration and 2011 Kick-Off"
When: 6-9 pm, January 29th
Where: Location is Kennedy Atascadero - Park on the North side(the pool side)

What: The Team is providing the meal for Team Members (BBQ Chicken with beans, salad, and bread with chips, salsa and sausage for appetizers). We will also provide beer, soft drinks, and water. Activities include Social, Meal, Team Slideshow, Team Awards, and a short meeting.
Cost: Free for 2010 or 2011 members, Guests and spouses are $12, children are $8.
Chefs: Chefs will be K-Man and Kompany!
RSVP: by 01/23/11 so that we have ample time to shop. Guests are encouraged!

This is going to be an awesome night for catching up with the whole team and setting the stage for a great 2011.

For all the membership benefits check out the Membership link on the Team Kman website. With an 84% renewal rate we are definitely on the right track, but we are always open to suggestions. Team K is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization. You may sign up on our website OR at the link in the sidebar OR at our Team Social on January 29th.

2010 Challenge Board Updated - Check out the 2010 Team Challenge Board. It has been updated. Challengers report any errors ASAP!!

2011 Challenge Board Posted - Check out the 2011 Challenge Board. Challenge levels have been set by the mathematical formula: (3 hours per week) X (48 weeks) X 85%. So basically to meet or beat the challenge level you have to do 85% of 3 hours of exercise per week for the duration of 48 weeks.

If you participated in 2010 you are by default on the 2011 Board. Email challenge@teamkman.org if you would like to be removed or added to a discipline.

Triathlon -
March 27 - March Warm Up - AKA March Triathlon Series - The March Warm Up is close by at Lopez Lake, offers sprint and olympic distances, and is a benefit for Cal Poly Triathlon Club. This is a well organized event that is fun for rookie and seasoned triathletes.
April 29- May 1 - Wildflower Triathlon - Also an awesome event. When you sign up remember to choose Team Kman as your team.

Swim - We average 20+ swimmers MWF 6am at Kennedy in Atascadero.
Swimmers are encouraged to register with US Masters Swimming for 2011: http://www.usms.org/reg/You will be supporting a national organization that promotes a healthy lifestyle and masters swimming. You will also receive a monthly magazine, an e-newsletter, some insurance coverage, and the ability to join us on trips to swim meets. Your volunteer coaches encourage you to register. Many members have already received their 2011 membership cards.
