WHO??? - Here is an article(link) in the "Hammer News" written by a Team Kman Member.
Members - All team wear is labeled and at the shop if anyone needs to pick it up. Also, If you did not receive your ChallengeWear at the team social you may pick it up at Kman Cycle and Run or at our next social .

Yeah!! Doug Conner - On February 6th Doug and his daughters finished the Surf City (Huntington Beach) 1/2 marathon(his first) in 2:36:25. He reports "a few sore muscles but otherwise in good shape". He also reports that he was back in the pool soothing those sore muscles this week.
Got Extra "silver"ware - The team is accepting donations of extra knives, forks, spoons for the team parties - drop it by the K-shop.

Triathlon -
March 27 - March Warm Up - AKA March Triathlon Series - The March Warm Up is close by at Lopez Lake, offers sprint and olympic distances, and is a benefit for Cal Poly Triathlon Club. This is a well organized event that is fun for rookie and seasoned triathletes.
April 29- May 1 - Wildflower Triathlon - Also an awesome event. When you sign up remember to choose Team Kman as your team.

Swim - We average 20+ swimmers MWF 6am at Kennedy in Atascadero.
The Atascadero Kennedy pool is tentatively planning on closing on Feb 16th and reopen on the 20th. Swimmers, look for some special news regarding workouts on those dates. How F-U-N!!

Swimmers are encouraged to register with US Masters Swimming for 2011: http://www.usms.org/reg/ You will be supporting a national organization that promotes a healthy lifestyle and masters swimming. You will also receive Swimmer Magazine, an e-newsletter, some insurance coverage, and the ability to join us on trips to swim meets. Your volunteer coaches encourage you to register.

Bikes in the new DMV Handbook. Check out Pages 35 & 36 of our 2011 California Driver's Handbook - looks like we have finally been recognized as legitimate roadway users. Run -
To be placed on the North County Run Group email list email Robyn Schmidt at runnews@teamkman.org and say, "Please put me on the NC Run Info List".
In February, find a Valentine to run the "Chains of Love" 5K, 10K or 15K. Run alone or "chained to" one or more others. If you are interested in being part of a "chain" email runninrobyn@gmail.com and Robyn will put together one or more teams based on distance preferred and ability. The race is February 12 at Cal Poly SLO. For more information go to the following link at active.com
In March join the Hares N Hounds 5K and Kids Runs as a participant and/or a volunteer. You can also raise money for your favorite youth program; school or public. For more information about this fundraising event or to volunteer contact Robyn at runninrobyn@gmail.com. The date for the Hares N Hounds event is March 12, 2011. It will be at the Atascadero Lake Park. More information is found at active.com
April might bring showers but will definitely bring the Wine Country Runs; half marathon, 5K and kids "Grape Stomp" 1/2 mile. The Wine Country Runs will be held April 10. More information at active.com
May - This year the Big Sur International Marathon (and relay) will be on May 1. This is the same weekend as Wildflower Triathlon. I will not be able to be there or make arrangements. If anyone else is interested I can give you my information from the last time we did it. Sorry! Maybe next year, or another relay.
