Bike:

Saturday’s Ride 11/8/08:
Let's ride from Atascadero Kman at 8am, out Templeton Rd to Main street, to Vineyard to 46, cross, then Vineyard, to right on Willow, to left on Peachy and back to right on Vineyard and on to Adelaida where we make a left to Chimney Rock. At Chimney Rock riders can go right and ride on to San Miguel by way of San Marcos and the new coffee shop. Then choices abound for the return home by way of River Rd. or Cross Canyon, Pleasant, Estrella, Airport to Wellsona to River Rd or even do a longer route out Hog Canyon. Lots of variations available, consensus rules. See Map 15.

Last Saturday’s Ride:
riders welcomed Len back into the fold after his many weeks campaigning. Though the election results were disappointing, Atascadero's City council's loss is our gain!! Len should be congratulated on a great effort and on not trying to get the vote of the driver of the large Ford pickup truck that almost ran into him on 58. Otherwise the ride out 58 to La Panza and back to Creston was pleasantly uneventful.

Run:

Last Sunday - Several Team K-Man members and others, about 15, gathered to run from Templeton to Cayucos. It was a sunny beautiful day and it seemed that everyone had a wonderful day. See the picture in the sidebar.

This Sunday -
This Sunday there is a "Turkey Festival" at Lopez Lake put on by SLO Parks Dept.. It has been proposed that we use this as our Sunday run. It is fun filled for the whole family. For more information go to www.slocountyparks.org. Another alternative is a "show and Go" from the park in Templeton, Bethel and Las Tablas, at 8:30 am.

Wednesday night track workouts will be put on hold for the time being. We will start back up in January or February when we are all gearing up for spring races.
