Then home by way of 229. A 60 ish mile ride. Or you can even continue on 58 to Shell Creek and Shandon and home if you need the miles for your Challenge goal!! Happy Holidays!!!

Last Saturday’s Ride:
Five riders braved the wet pavement and the gamble paid off! Mike B., fresh from the Vegas marathon, was back in the saddle again and Mark G. rode despite December being his month "off"...right! Some truths became self evident: 1.Kurt really, really loves to ride and will show up regardless. 2.Terry can be made to feel guilty about not showing by placing a phone call to him telling him that riders are down the street from him and he better get there fast. 3. Whale rock reservoir is below sea level as the ocean horizon (with white caps) was so distant that it appeared far above the surface of the reservoir. 4.The bakery on the Embarcadero in Morro Bay near the power plant would make Len's mouth water. 5.The Perfumo Canyon climb is far steeper when ridden after 50 miles rather than after only 3 miles. 6.The New Frontiers deli has the most beautiful and expensive food in the county and 7.Terry's lungs must be lined with teflon to survive the car/truck exhaust up the grade 5 days a week.
