Wine 'N Bike Ride - Martina and Kristie are interested in putting together a group of riders who would like to do a short (15-25) mile ride accompanied by several stops for wine tasting. We live in a fantastic area for it and friends and family (21 and over!) would be welcome. Anyone interested, please email Kristie at runingnurse@hotmail.com.

•Ride: Saturday, 03/28/09 - Let's ride from Atascadero Kman at 8am, out Templeton Rd to Main street, to Vineyard to 46, cross, then Vineyard, to right on Willow, to left on Peachy and back to right on Vineyard and on to Adelaida where we make a left to Chimney Rock. At Chimney Rock riders can chose to go out and back (left) to the end with some refreshments available at he Justin winery. Or we can simply ride on to San Miguel and the new coffee shop. Then choices abound for the return home by way of River Rd. or Cross Canyon, Pleasant, Estrella, Airport to Wellsona to River Rd or even do a longer route out Hog Canyon. Lots of variations available, consensus rules. See Map 15 for the roads mentioned.

Brevet Report - Louise's and Steve's Brevet adventures: Last Saturday we both rode the Santa Cruz 300k through the beautiful farm fields and east Coastal range south past Moss Landing to Greenfield and back again. A little rain muddied the road and bikes and we each lost our way at some point during the ride. But Steve blazed the road, finishing first with recumbent rider James Kern, despite his flat just seven miles from the finish...I think Steve's tuffies aren't as tough as Steve!!!

Run:

This Weekend's Run -->Sunday March 29th @ 8:00 Wine Country half-marathon and 5K Runners/Joggers/Walkers. Roberta, from Team Kman, would like to get Kman members out in force in the half-marathonwalk as well as the runs (walk begins at 7:15)

Last Sunday Run: The sun was out for a beautiful run up Santa Rita Creek Rd where there were lots of familiar faces. Hopefully others are tuning up for the 5K, or 1/2 marathon run or walk next Sunday!
