- Mark your calendars. June 27th at the
K-place (Schmidt house) 6900 San Gabriel Road, Atascadero CA - 6 PM. More info to come.

•Congratulations to - Barbies on Advil (aka Martina Kingman & Kristie Lahr) had a successful Muddy Buddy in San Jose. The course was in a beautiful, mountainous area half an-hour east of San Jose. The course involved cross country running, mountain biking, obstacles and our favorite..slopping through the mud pit (see the pictures)! There were over 1,000 teams; we ended up taking 1st in our division and 7th overall female team (out of more than 300 teams). We had a great Barbie support team, including Ken #1(hubby), Ken #2(boyfriend), Ken #3(brother-in-law), and Skipper(daughter) as well as our mascot (Barbie) riding with us the entire way. Great Fun!!

Welcome Back Dan VanBeveren - he has been in Fortaleza, Brazil for 3 weeks.

-->Bike:
•Saturday Ride(06/05) - Let's ride Chimney Rock and Klaus Mine roads! Leave Kman at 8:00 am and go left on El Camino, right on Curbaril all the way around to left on Mercedes to left on 41 to left on Templeton Rd to left on Templeton/Main/Vineyard all the way to 46. Cross 46 on Vineyard to right on Willow to left on Peachy to right on Vineyard to left on Adelaida to left on Chimney Rock. One option is to go to the end of Chimney Rock and then back to Cypress Mountain or for a shorter ride just go left on Cypress Mt to Klaus Mine. All rides would then go right on Adelaida all the way to Paso. Coffee shop options are Amsterdam on 13th at Park or Cider Creek at Niblick and River. Also there is the House of Bagels at Niblick and Spring where they serve Jobella coffee (in urns) with deli type sandwiches on bagels of course and it is next door to a Mexican place (outdoor seating available). The return trip is riders' choice...eg. River Road or Creston to Golden Hills to Union to Geneseo and home. Louise will not be there so the mice should play while the cat is away!!!
