Bike -

Last Saturday was a great ride. K-Man was sighted again (what's he training for?). There was a solid group that rode hard for 60 miles with another group extending it out to 100 miles. Strong winds made it challenging for all. As the team pulled for each other they hoped that some day Steve "le machine" La Chaine will use all that training and strength to help pull as well. In the end there were a lot of tired bodies ready for refueling.

Saturday's ride for June 27: Let's ride up the coast to Naciamento/Fergueson, up the climb and back! There will be two starting options. 1) Start from Shamel park in Cambria at 8 am or 2) Start from Ragged Point at 9:15-9:30am..depending upon the arrival of the group from Cambria. While it has been foggy at the coast it appears that this weekend may clear somewhat so we have hope for some sun. A choice of clothing is suggested, however. It is approximately 20 miles from Cambria to Ragged Point, another 20 miles to the base of the climb and 7 miles up the climb to the top. A profile of the ride is included in the profile of the course of the Central Coast Double at http://centralcoastdouble.com/course/elevate.html . (Cambria is the low point at approx. 45 miles and the top of N/F is self evident). An RSVP to Louise at lecomar@pacbell.net would be appreciated but is not required!

Run -

No track workouts on Wednesday nights.

Last Sunday Martina and Robyn had a short quick, long run in the beautiful weather of Atascadero. There was even some dog "whispering" going on, sort of. It was a great run!

Join us next Sunday June 28 at 8:00 am in Templeton at the park at Bethel and Las Tablas (see map link below).
