New Years Day Ride: Option 1-Join SLO Bike Club and many others - Meet at Shamel Park in Cambria at about 8:45. Ride leaves Shamel Park at 9am and goes up to Ragged Point and back this is 48 miles. Option 2-Leave gthe K-Shop in A-town at 7:12 with Steve LaChaine, Option 3-leave the corner of 46 and Vineyard at 7:40(as Steve plans to ride by at that moment).

IMPORTANT-Date Change for Team Social
Saturday, January 30th Our next team social will be the BIG Annual PARTY!! - Team Party at the K-House 6pm. This is for ALL past, current, and future members of Team Kman as well as family members and guests. Date change reason - So, many of our members are also involved in our community and the old date was the same date at the Chamber of Commerce's annual celebration.

SWIM

•Mike Bickel - gave us all a very good presentation and explanation of our Swim Trifecta. I will include a link to that presentation next week. 

Our team is going for 100% registration in United States Masters Swimming.
Your registration before January 15 gets you FREE ENTRY into the.....postal mile.()

Bike:
•Friday Ride January 1st - See above
•Saturday Ride January 2nd - 8:00 am - Meet at Kman Cycle and Run in Atascadero.
Next Saturday's Ride:  Let's ride to San Miguel!  Leave from Atascadero Kman at 8am, left on El Camino, right on Palomar, right on Curbaril to left on Mercedes to left on 41 to left on Templeton Rd to left at El Pomar and continue on Vineyard to 46, cross, then Vineyard, to right on Willow, to left on Peachy and back to right on Vineyard and on to Adelaida where we make a left to Chimney Rock. At Chimney Rock riders can chose to go out and back (left) to the end with some refreshments available at the Justin winery. Or we can simply ride on to San Miguel (35 ish miles) by way of Naciamento Lake Road and San Marcos. Then choices abound for the return home by way of River Rd.(55 miles) or Cross Canyon, Pleasant, Estrella, Airport to Wellsona to River Rd (60ish) or even do a longer route out Hog Canyon (80 miles). Lots of variations available, consensus rules. See Map 15 for the roads mentioned.





Solvang Double, March 27, 2010:  Entries are now open.  You may apply either through Active.com or print out a form and mail it in (saving the Active.com fee).  Early entry is $85 (until late Feb.27).  If you are interested in participating please let Louise(Team K Bike Coordinator) know.  The more the merrier!

Run: 
Sunday Run - Due to the holidays there is no organized run this Sunday.
Some members may show for.....An out and back on Santa Rita Road this Sunday at 8:30 am  We will meet at the split by the bridge (Ridge Road and Santa Rita Road off Bethel). 

Track workouts start on Wednesday nights again in January.  We will meet at the Atascadero Lake starting Wednesday, January 20th at 6 pm.  We will start meeting at the AHS track at 6 pm on Wednesday, February 10th.

If you are a K-Swimmer and have not yet registered here is your chance.  It is $42.  You will be supporting a National Organization that promotes a healthy lifestyle and masters swimming. You also get monthly magazines and newsletters, coaching, some insurance coverage, the ability to join us on swimming trips/events, and much more. Your volunteer coaches encourage you register. Some members have already received their 2010 membership cards.
