Kongratulations to Doug Hicks - he had another cyclocross race this month. Report, "In the men's B race he started well but pulled a hamstring when he crashed after a couple of laps. He hung in and cruised a couple of laps then finished hard and placed 10th. Grabed a quick Gu and an Advil then headed out for the Junior race. Started a little slow; after about 2 1/2 of the 4 lap race he was down 23 seconds. By the end of the third he was only down 15 seconds, half way through the last lap he was only 2 seconds behind.He finally caught the leader about 1500 meters before the end and then passed him with about 800 meters left, on a run up a hill."

•It is Time to register for U.S. Masters registration. If you are a K-Swimmer and have not yet registered here is your chance. It is $42. You will be supporting a National Organization that promotes a healthy lifestyle and masters swimming. You also get monthly magazines and newsletters, coaching, some insurance coverage, the ability to join us on swimming trips/events, and much more. Your volunteer coaches encourage you register. Some members have already received their 2010 membership cards.

Let's hope we can ride between the rain drops out to York Mt, 46 and Peachy! Leave Kman at 8 am and head left on El Camino to right on Curbaril, left on Santa Ysabel to right on 41, to left on Templeton Road, to El Pomar where we turn left on Templeton Road which then becomes Vineyard and continue straight until left on 46 and ride to York Mt (ride the climb or stay on 46), continue on 46 to the very top where we then turn around and ride back to left on Jack Creek, left on Vineyard, right on Willow to right on Peachy, up and over to Paso and the Amsterdam Cafe. Then home options abound for short (River), medium (Niblick/Linne/Geneseo, or long Niblick/Creston/Golden Hills/Union/Geneseo.

Run:
Sunday Run - An out and back on Santa Rita Road this Sunday at 8:30 am We will meet at the split by the bridge (Ridge Road and Santa Rita Road off Bethel). Bring your own support.
Track workouts start on Wednesday nights again in January. We will meet at the Atascadero Lake starting Wednesday, January 20th at 6 pm. We will start meeting at the AHS track at 6 pm on Wednesday, February 10th.
