Bike: SPECIAL RIDE!!!!
•Saturday Ride April 3rd
SPECIAL START LOCATION AND SPECIAL TIME SATURDAY, APRIL 3,  Let's ride the Bitterwater loop from Shandon with the Saturday Zoo Group! Given the slightly longer driving time I propose that we plan to ROLL from Shandon's city Park at 8:30 am. We will ride east out of town, bearing left until we hit 46. We turn right on 46 and ride 4.2 miles and make a right turn onto Bitterwater Rd. Then we continue on Bitterwater road, bearing right at an intersection at 14.6 miles and continue all the way up a gradual summit at 2365 ft. and then descend to 58 where we turn right (West) 37 mi. Ride 58 for 18 miles and then make a right on Shell Creek Road and it is then a beautiful, 15 ish mile quick ride back to Shandon (70 miles).Kristen K. will SAG providing Support And Gear as needed during the ride, including water and munchies.  You are welcome to bring your own supplies to put in her vehicle.  The wildflowers have begun to appear and it should be a beautiful ride.

Kongratulations to Team Kman  members Steve LaChaine, Mike Lewis, Dan VanBeveren, Mark Glenesk, Steve Robinson and Louise Comar who all completed the Solvang Double last weekend!   It was a first double finish for Mark and Steve.  And thanks to Terry Lentz and Paul Menigoz for the camaraderie as they helped us prepare, encouraged, and broke wind when they could. Thank you Terry and Paul.

Alternative ride for April 17:  If you are unable to join the festivities out at Lake San Antonio, you may want to ride the 2nd Annual Justin Bike-a-thon, a fund raiser for the Wellness Community in Paso Robles.  For an entry fee of $50 and $100 in pledges you may ride distances of 25K, 50K  or 100K in and around the Justin Winery on Chimney Rock.  Contact April at april@justinwine.com or 805-591-3201 for more information and pledge sheets.
