Regular Ride Information - Simply Ride North County Cycling Info
Team Members, Mike Lewis and Steve LaChaine ROCK the 508!!!!! Mike "Bone Dog" Lewis quite literally flew along on the course this year giving all the race favorites a run for their money. Bone Dog(Mike Lewis) finished in second place only 19 minutes behind the winner "Crow" in an awesome time of 29 hours 52 minutes. Steve LaChaine also had an excellent race. He and Mike met up and the finish line and had some well deserved high fives. The riders and crews, including Louise Comar and Terry Lentz, had a great time. Just two weeks after the 508, the San Luis Obispo Gran Fondo gave Steve LaChaine a chance to show his cycling versatility, Steve raced around the course fast enough to earn him a 12th place finish overall and, we are told, first place in the category of riders who had a flat tire. Good job, Steve!

Kongratulations to Glenn and Gail Vanderline and Sue Haas-Clark for their success at the Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah. About 12,000 athletes gathered in St. George, Utah. Glenn captured Gold in the Hill Climb, Bronze in the Time Trial and Silver in the Criterium. Gail made it a Silver sweep, in the Hill Climb, Time Trial and Criterium. Racing competitively for her first time ever, Sue dominated her division, winning Gold in the Hill Climb, Time Trial, and Criterium.

*The 14th annual Desert Sprint and International Triathlon will take place on March 2nd and 3rd, 2013. This is a Southern California favorite and will be for many the start of their 2013 triathlon season.
